Mr. David Frank Sophie Smits

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of clinical experience supporting adults and young people struggling with mental health, trauma and substance abuse issues. I work with challenges such as anxiety, low mood, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, work-related stress and generally feeling stuck or uncertain about direction in life. My approach is grounded in humanistic-experiential and emotion focused therapy, helping you to make sense of your emotions and deeper layers of the underlying distress. I welcome conversations around existential and moral concerns. I aim to create a space that feels safe, respectful, where we can slow things down and make sense of your experience together. From there, we work towards change that feels meaningful and lasting. Clients often appreciate my calm, grounded and approachable style and the balance between depth and practical direction.
