I have a particular interest in motherhood and postpartum depression and anxiety as well as birth trauma. I also work with generalised depression and anxiety and trauma. I use a variety of strategies and techniques to work with what works for you as the client. I have completed extra training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I am open to ACC social work referrals as well as private counselling/social work work. I can do online or face to face work.

There are so many challenges in life and each person is a unique individual. My work is tailored to fit the needs of my clients, although my understanding of clients is from a psychoanalytic/depth perspective. I and trained in general mental health with a specialist interest in trauma, anxiety, pain and women's health. I am a preferred provider of assessment and treatment for ACC in areas of mental injury, Pain and sensitive claims. I also receive referral from the general public, Gp's colleagues, specialists and contracted organisations.

Arts therapy uses creativity within therapy to create connection through meaning-making and embodied expression which allows space for healing and growth. As an arts therapist, I am passionate about using creativity to enhance wellbeing using a mindful, client-centered, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. I work between Whitianga, Thames and Whangamata specializing in ACC sensitive claims work for those who have experienced sexual abuse/violence.
